The fires in #Australia 🇦🇺 are huge. Today the area of the smoke from the #bushfires is about 12 400 000 km² (≈4 800 000 sq. miles). That is larger than, for example, the USA, Canada, or China! #NSWFires #AustraliaFires pic.twitter.com/uJQRu6KEjr

Mietityttääkö Australian palojen mittakaava? Australian itäosissa on palanut tai on palojen vallassa yhteensä noin 22 000 km²:n alue. Vastaa suunnilleen Kainuuta pinta-alaltaan. Kartan lähde: https://t.co/GEA2sFEej1 pic.twitter.com/zjQgKEwblP
